One aspect that sets them apart is their “winch” surfing, which is nothing short of fascinating. They fearlessly ride the waves even in the midst of a Nor’easter, showcasing their adventurous spirit. This unique group of businessmen knows how to strike a balance between taking their businesses seriously and indulging in exhilarating experiences that most of us wouldn’t even dare to dream of. Personally, I am a big fan of these guys! The Jolly Dolphin crew has mastered the art of having fun and infuses it into every aspect of their lives.

Downtown Seaford Bonfire

Next on the list is the legendary Downtown Seaford Bonfire, a highly anticipated event that has gained immense popularity in the area. Drawing a crowd of 600 or more people, this gathering has become a significant attraction. The masterminds behind this annual extravaganza are Richard Wornam, Mike Joyner, Chuck Becker, Steven Ross Hogge, and the esteemed “mayor” of Seaford, Lyndon Amory.

Now, it’s important to note that Seaford doesn’t exactly have a bustling downtown area. In fact, the so-called downtown consists of the Seaford Country Market and the Zion Methodist Church. However, this fact doesn’t deter the enthusiastic attendees who eagerly flock to the event. Typically held in November, the bonfire was momentarily halted by the impact of Covid-19 in 2020. Nonetheless, it reclaimed its rightful place in 2021, and it’s highly anticipated that the 2022 edition will break attendance records, garnering even more attention.

Let me tell you, the crowd that gathers for this event knows how to have a good time. They are a vibrant and lively group of individuals who exude a contagious energy. Their spirit and enthusiasm create an atmosphere of pure enjoyment, making the Downtown Seaford Bonfire an unforgettable experience.
